Auxiliary Events - Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale

The Auxiliary of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale is a hard working group of more than 150 women dedicated to improving the lives of our community’s children. A valuable source of support, they contribute many volunteer hours and the profits from this event and others will benefit the Club members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Since 1964, raising money for the Club has been the focus of the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary is also responsible for staffing the Thrift Shop, located just south of downtown Scottsdale. Among all of the events of the Auxiliary, the centerpiece is the annual Holiday Event that includes a fashion show, boutique, silent auction, raffles, elegant lunch and much more. Members work year-round to make this luncheon one of the premier events in the Valley.

The 27th Annual Holiday Event: “Wishing” Luncheon & Fashion Show

The 27th Annual Holiday Event, presented by the Auxiliary of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, took place on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. More than 700 guests attended the event for a day of shopping and dining, while benefitting our community's youth. The ballroom doors opened at 9:30 am to reveal a festive “Wishing” theme. This year’s event included a three course luncheon from the award winning Biltmore chefs and a fashion show presented by Dillard’s.

This holiday fundraiser also included an extensive silent auction, Designer Décor from the Valley’s top interior designers, The Gift Boutique, beautiful hand-made boutique items and homemade gourmet delights. Here's a complete list of silent auction items that were available. The live auction offered Kate Spade apparel, a beautiful sculpture and more. In addition, a paddle raiser was held for scholarships for Club kids raising $24,000. The event was concluded with a raffle drawing for a new 2007 Chrysler Sebring Convertible, donated by Moore Chrysler/Jeep. A total of $270,000 was raised at this year's luncheon.

You will not want to miss the 2008 holiday celebration! And remember, the proceeds from this event will benefit the Club members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.
