NEW NAME AND DATE - SAME GREAT EVENT!

Make a commitment to good health and rally family members, co-workers and friends to register for the Power of Potential 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Eldorado Park in Scottsdale (formerly Family Fun Walk ‘N’ Run held in spring). All participants will receive a T-shirt and awards will be given to the first, second and third place finishers in each age group category. We encourage families to register and participate as a team, and no prior race experience is required.

All proceeds benefit youth development programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, including the health initiative Project L.E.A.N. (Lifestyles, Education, Activity & Nutrition). The Club is committed to creating a healthier environment for members and their families to learn and enjoy. This concept empowers children to make healthy life choices that benefit the mind, body and soul in a way that is easy to incorporate into their busy routines. This event is one example of the Project L.E.A.N. philosophy.
