Angels for Kids is the annual giving campaign for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Due to the generosity of key donors helping to cover the costs of this campaign, 100% of your investment goes directly to our programs.

When you invest in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale through the Angels for Kids campaign, you are making a commitment to support youth in our community. We, in turn, are making a commitment to be there for more than 15,000 youth in the Northeast Valley currently participating in our programs and activities.

To continue providing a safe, positive place for our growing population of youth to learn and grow, we need your help.

With an investment of $500, you can become an Angel for one Club member and help us provide that child with a positive place to grow. Each successive $500 investment allows us to reach out to another child. A gift to Angels for Kids at any level is greatly appreciated and will collectively power the potential in more children.

As a father of two school-aged children and a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Board of Governors since 2005, I have had many opportunities to see first-hand the value of my investment in our Clubs.

One of my favorite success stories from our Clubs is from Aida at our Hartley & Ruth Barker Branch. “I have a lot of problems at home, but the Club has made it a lot easier to deal with the obstacles. I enjoy being around friends, doing my homework and participating in the Club programs.” Her mother is grateful for the safe environment and hands on staff supervision.

Stories like this inspire me…and challenge me to find more Angels for our kids.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale have a proven formula for success with youth development. Here are just a few programs where Angels for Kids support has made a difference with our Club members:

Project L.E.A.N. – Encourages healthy lifestyles by providing a consistent Club environment that gets kids active. Also provides healthy snacks and meals, and teaches youth about nutrition and healthy cooking.
MethSMART – Teaches all youth and teens in age appropriate groups about the dangers of methamphetamine use.
Teen Centers – Provides an alternative to the streets and gangs for our teens. Strategic programs like SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood teach Club kids like Aida how to deal positively with the influence of peer pressure that our youth face today.

This past year we provided many special opportunities for more than 15,000 kids at our nine branches. We have developed a strategic plan that will allow us to build on our reputation as a premier youth development services organization, and serve even more kids in the future. But we need your help as Angels for our kids in order to get there!
